Made In Chelsea's Nicola Hughes suffers a fashion faux pas in a bizarre pink shredded prom dress and chunky boots at the London Lifestyle Awards

She's usually flashing her fabulous figure in barely-there ensembles.
But Nicola Hughes, 27, opted for an edgier look as she turned head in a rouched baby pink number while attending the Lifestyle Awards at London's Lancaster Hotel on Monday.
The reality babe displayed her slender figure in a distinctive one-shoulder gown which featured ruffle details and a mullet style hemline, as she posed up a storm at the star-studded event.

Nicola Hughes is carving out a reputation for herself as quite the fashionsta.
She's not afraid to go for a daring look, as evidenced by this statement ensemble the reality star wore to the Lifestyle Awards.
There's something very 90s about the satin prom style dress teamed with Dr Martens boots, which Nicola pulled off with total aplomb.
The dress itself is a really eye-catching piece. Featuring an asymmetric layered skirt, oversized corsage strap and candy pink colour, it's a very 'princess' piece which Nicola has then transformed into 'punk princess'.
It's guaranteed to set you apart from the crowd, so click right to treat yourself to Nicola's dress by British brand Collier Bristow. If you can't splash the cash, you can always get inspired by the flattering one-shouldered style with our top high-street pink picks below.

Nicola opted against high heels, instead adding a rock chic vibe by pairing black untied Doc Marten boots to dress down her striking outfit.
Artfully matching her footwear, the blonde bombshell toted her belongings in a dainty black clutch bag.

The stunners long golden tresses were stylishly blow dried into soft curls as they sprawled down her tanned shoulders.
Contouring her features with a sweep of bronzer, the E4 star was sure to make her eyes pop with a strong smokey eye as she applied a warm nude lipgloss to her pout.

Not alone at the Award ceremony, Nicola was joined by the likes of Denise Welch, Jodie Marsh and Lauren Silverman.
The 27-year-old reality star made a name for herself after appearing on Made In Chelsea in the ninth series, in which her tumultuous relationship with Alex Mitton took centre stage.
Nicola opened up about her former flame - who she dated on and off for almost two years - in an interview with OK! Online, declaring the two reality TV stars have no intentions of getting back together.
She said: 'We'll never be in a relationship again but we can be civil. When Alex broke up with me and cheated and what not he then came back to me.

This Teen Wore Her Mother's Prom Dress to Her Senior Prom

When 17-year-old Olivia Parker from Scottsdale, Arizona, was preparing for her senior prom, she had two dresses in mind: a dress that was being custom-made in China, and a backup one just in case. When her custom-made dress arrived she was pretty happy with it, so when a friend of hers had a dress crisis she was happy to give her the backup one. Then, on the day of prom, disaster struck.

"Prom day, I go get my hair and nails done and pick up my dress from the cleaners," Olivia told Seventeen.com. "As soon as I took the plastic off the hanger I knew something was wrong.  There was a big dark crease like it was burned when they pressed it.  It was right in front too, there was no way I could wear it.  It was totally ruined.  So I start freaking out because I gave my back up dress away!"

It's every teen girl's nightmare, but luckily mom swooped in to help. Rummaging through her closet, they found the dress that she wore to her prom in 1991 and decided to have Olivia try it on for fun. It fit perfectly!

"I put it on and I did love it!  It was a blast to dance in too!" Olivia said. "My friends all said I was lucky, their mom's dresses were typical '90s and not cool at all.  My mom has a great sense of style so I'm not surprised she would have a dress thats still wearable 25 years later.  She's just one of those people.  She was super happy I wore it and said it was worth dragging around all these years."

Indeed it was, look at that twirling action!

In the photos, the dress looks like the sparkles had all fallen off, but apparently that's just the lighting.

"I'm not quote sure why the rhinestones look more sparkly in my mom's picture," she said. "I think because her picture was taken at night they stood out more. A couple of the rhinestones have fallen off in 25 years but my mom replaced them with practically the same jewel."

And how adorably did she look with her date?

For Olivia's mother, Brande, the whole thing was obviously an emotional experience. Olivia recently graduated, which made her into even more of a wreck.

"It's midnight now, we're home and she's still crying!" she said.

Yes, Goddess! Every Look From the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards Red Carpet

Television is the new silver screen, and the Emmys red carpet is just as vital, if not more interesting, than the one at the Oscars. Who will buck trends? Who will wear couture? And what will our prodigal boyfriend Rami Malek wear?!?! Let’s find out on our continuously updating red carpet looks extravaganza!

America Ferrera, above, is looking like a boss in Jenny Packham. She just did a triathalon yesterday, according to her convo with my dreaded son Giuliana!

Transparent’s Emily Robinson is stunning in this starry tulle number; Randall Park went with a pretty standard tuxedo; Niecy Nash is gorgeous in white; Kate Linder is a clear sky at midnight.

Both my mom Kathryn Hahn and Tori Kelly, a terrific singer who needs better songs, are going for that super hot fall velvet situation; Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy, definitely top ten coolest couples in Hollywood, are looking just that; Shiri Appleby isn’t totally doing it for me in this cut-out gown, but I might like it in a different shade of blue.

Cute kids edition: Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, Jeremy Maguire (who vants to suck your blood) and Rico Rodriguez know how to work a red carpet, but none like Judith Light, lovely in this regal business-fancy gown.

Ariel Winter is going full chandelier; Cherry Jones has been to this shit and is over it and looks great; Reggie Watts is giving us the night’s best side-ponytail look; Sarah Hyland’s Monique Lhullier gown-pant is quite pretty, though I’m not sure the black trousers are congruous on the whole.

Alia Shawkat looks great in this easy, ‘70s-silhouette floral number; Jon Voight is doing a full mafia don silk scarf, which works for his on and offscreen character!; Lara Spencer’s wine and sequin gown is fine; Melora Hardin’s blue organza gown is fine.

Look, it’s your adopted children Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Millie Bobby Brown, who’s wearing Valentino Red! Just kidding, you can’t adopt them. They’re too famous now.

Constance Zimmer is extremely proper in this ready-for-tea column gown by Monique Lhullier; Gwendolyn Christie is always a little bit punk on the carpet, and here she looks like a vinyl record; Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld definitely don’t care about being here, but look good nonetheless; Trevor Jackson transposed the velvet trend onto a tux and I’m into it.

Here is a list of the top 7 styles available at the moment

All in all it is about how you feel about your figure and if a certain style shows more than you feel comfortable about, it would be better to go for a different style. Your whole appearance on the day will be affected by your level of confidence so choose a style that will flatter your body type and one you feel comfortable wearing, hold your head high and all of the attention will be on you.

1. Empire Prom Dresses - These dresses flatter any body type because of their raised waist line. The empire dresses have a fitted bust and then the fabric flows away from the body giving you an excellent silhouette. The fabric used in these dresses is normally satin which is more forgiving than the clingy jersey. Some design versions of these dresses can include some sexy long trains.

2. Short Prom Dresses - The demand for short hemlines is growing and with more and more girls preferring this style the designers have been creating more quirky and glamorous versions with many features from the longer dresses. When choosing this style remember your legs will be on show so make sure your comfortable with this before opting for this style.

3. Cinderella prom dresses - Everyone's favourite. These stunning ball gowns with their full tulle skirts make the wearer feel and look like a Princess. These prom dresses are mostly strapless but there are a few designers this season that have introduced halter designs. Each dress should come with detachable straps.

4. Hi-low Prom Dresses - Celebrity's are loving these dresses because the hemline is short at the front and the back finishes in a long glamorous train combining trendy and Hollywood glamor at the same time. If you choose this style, splash out on a pair of metallic chic heeled sandals. These sandals will be on display and will complete your whole look.

5. The Victorian Bustle Prom Dresses - These 'sort after' prom dresses are not so fairytale in appearance as the Cinderella prom dresses but they are as big. They give more of a grown up look to the wearer and can be very flattering because of their dropped waist and full shirt which starts from the hips rather than the waist.

6. Mermaid Prom Dresses - These styles of prom dresses take glamour to a new level with their figure hugging bodices and flared out skirts. They will exaggerate every curve making you feel ultra feminine. If you are confident with your figure and want to show it off then this is the style for you. These dresses can be strapless as well which gives you the opportunity to show off your shoulders.

7. Sexy Prom Dresses - These dresses are usually made from jersey which will emphasize every curve. Jersey is very clingy and heavy, which makes it hang perfectly but it will show certain undergarment lines. If you choose this style of prom dress think carefully about buying some seam free underwear it will be worth it. As far as embellishments are concerned, these dresses can be covered in sequins and the strap details can be heavily gemmed.

these tips will help you to be prepared when getting your prom dress altered for the perfect fit

When you're shopping for a dress for prom, consider these alteration tips! You'll know what to expect and be prepared to create a dress that fits your body perfectly on your special night.

  • Working with your dress: If your dress doesn’t fit you perfectly, try going up a size and having it taken in. This is recommended because it’s generally easier to take a dress in than to let it out. When you get a dress let out, you run the risk of having to choose a fabric that could mismatch your dress.  By purchasing a bigger dress, you don’t have to worry about a lack of fabric, and your tailor can work with the dress and your body. Similarly, if your dress is too long, you'll need to have the hem shortened to avoid tripping and fabric trailing. When you take your dress to get altered, try it on with the shoes you plan to wear, then have the tailor measure to make the hem work with your height.
  • Where to go:  The first step to getting your dress altered is finding a place that is trustworthy and reliable. Bridal shops are great because seamstresses who have worked with wedding dresses are most likely comfortable altering any type of dress. Going to a private seamstress is a good option, but keep in mind that they may charge more for alterations. Even the dry cleaners can serve as a great and affordable place for minimal alterations. Another option that is extremely convenient is to have a family member with the right skills make the alterations for you.
  • When to alter: Getting your dress altered should be planned in a way that will ensure your dress is done on time and fits properly. Going to get your dress altered about three weeks before your event is recommended because it allows enough time to make changes. If you get your dress altered too early, you run the risk of having it not fit properly, since our bodies are constantly changing with weight fluctuations. On the other hand, if you take the dress in too late, you run the risk of having a poorly done job or just not having time at all to have it altered.

most prom dresses offer more than enough support for your girls

so you don’t have to worry about them going anywhere. And, second off – your neckline will just look so much more flattering without a tight restricting bra. Not to mention, you won’t have to go through all the hassle of finding the perfect bra for your dress.

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s discuss which necklines do the best job of showing off your cleavage. If you are looking to flaunt just a tiny bit of cleavage, aim for dresses featuring a sweetheart neckline. This is the neckline that kind of dips down into the bust forming half of a heart shape. It’s flattering for all busts, small and large – and yep, looks best without a bra. However, if you feel that you absolutely must wear a bra – look for something with padded cups and a shelf structure.

If your goal is to make your girls the star of the show, then your best bet is a gown with a v-neckline. This neckline can range anywhere from revealing just a bit of cleavage to dipping daringly low below the bust. Once again, the dress will most likely offer you all the support you need in the bust area, but if you really want to wear a bra there are choices. The best option for a v-neck gown is a silicone bra that supports the front of your cleavage with the help of adhesive cups (this is a great bra for backless dresses, as well) – but there are also strapped bras with plunging necklines that work just as great. Also, if your main concern isn’t really about bust support, but rather not having a bit of a nip-slip – there are adhesive silicone covers you can wear to ensure that you don’t experience any wardrobe malfunctions.

And, lastly – stop stressing out so much over your boobs! Whether you’re insecure and think that they’re too small or too big, they(and you, of course) are going to look great! Just relax, and remember that feeling beautiful is the #1 goal for prom night.

Deluge of prom dresses amazes school as Patea students prepare for first ball in 24 years

A flood of kindness in taffeta, chiffon, satin and sparkles threatens to overwhelm Patea Area School.

The response to a request on TV asking for dresses so the students could enjoy their first school ball in 24 years has amazed principal Nicola Ngarewa.

"It's been an absolute blessing, we've been inundated with a huge response from across the country, we don't have any room to put any more, it's been amazing, well and above what's required."

As well as the dresses and suits, there were boxes of jewellery, accessories and hundreds of pairs of shoes.

What began with a quest to help one girl find a dress has grown to a project that will help students at many other schools enjoy a fairytale ball gown.
"I have been talking to other principals in Whanganui and Taranaki, we are thinking of having a roving ball boutique, because the response was just so amazing."

Already, some boxes of dresses were on their way to students at a Hamilton School with a ball coming up.

Boxes of dresses were still arriving on Friday, but she asked that no more be sent.

Many of the garments arrived with touching stories of where they came from, she said.

"One beautiful new dress arrived in soft pink tissue paper with a card saying: 'I bought this to wear to my prom but I had a car accident and couldn't go'... people have invested their emotions to help our school and see these dresses worn."

They had also received many offers of services from hairdressers and barbers and a hot rod company had offered to drive the students to and from the ball.

Ngarewa said the students were so excited, it had become difficult to concentrate on school work.

About 100 students were going to the ball on September 10. Everyone would be wearing donated finery. Students and staff who could afford to buy their own outfits were donating the money instead to other school projects.

The students who were being gifted the dresses to wear were humbled and appreciative, Ngarewa said.

"They are all really giving young people, they are in voluntary lifesaving at beaches, they have part time jobs and are in every sports team going, they are good people."

PHOTOS 16 & Pregnant's Lindsey Nicholson show off 32G breasts courtesy of Dr.Miami

It’s been a little over four months since 16 and Pregnant star Lindsey Nicholson (formerly Lindsey Harrison) made the trip down to Florida for a complimentary boob job courtesy of Dr. Miami, and since then, she has been showing off her newest assets online in a series of bra-popping snaps.

In addition to the candid shots on social media, Lindsey also recently posed for a staged bikini photo shoot at the beach in which she went topless — albeit with her fingers over her nipples. (I couldn’t find a site that has published the photos, which are licensed through Splash News, so I’m sorry I don’t have a link for you. Lindsey did do a previous non-topless bikini shoot that Perez Hilton covered though.) The staged toplessbeach photo shoot is a staple for clients of GR Media like Lindsey, and it’s something we predicted at the time of her Dr. Miami surgery (another GR Media specialty):
Please know there’s no judgement here! I think society gets a little too freaked out over female breasts anyways. And as far as the debate over elective breast augmentation surgery, I’ll let Lindsey defend herself via her Twitter account.
Lindsey also answered a very thoughtful question from an Instagram follower about whether or not she regretted having the breast augmentation.
Back on Twitter, Lindsey expressed her appreciation for those who had positive responses, while admonishing the negativity: “I love seeing women lift each other up and support each other and to all the women who don’t y’all need Jesus! ”
Speaking of lifting each other up and supporting each other, Lindsey seems to be struggling to find a bra that can do those things. “I need to find a website that sells cute 32g bras?” Lindsey asked her followers back in June. “Anyone know of any? Can’t find any in stores☹️” She soon after hinted that we might be seeing a line of Lindsey’s Secret big bosom bras soon. “I’m so close to just starting my own business making cute & sexy bras in large size cups but small band sizes,” she tweeted, adding the #overit hash tag.
In addition to Lindsey’s difficulties finding attractive foundation garments up to the hefty task, Lindsey also shared her minimal difficulties recovering from the Dr. Miami surgery. “How bad was the surgery?” One female follower asked. “Is it worse than child birth?”
“Childbirth is way more painful,” Lindsey responded, “this feels like when you breastfeed and your boobs are very engorged & super sore.” Lindsey was healed up enough to return to work on April 11, but a couple days later she did point out at least one lingering effect from the procedure: “Sneezing is hell for me right now .”

Moving on from her boobs to her personal life, things seem to be going EXTREMELY well for Lindsey, her husband TJ and their daughter Aniyah. TJ has officially adopted Aniyah as his own daughter, and on July 1, Lindsey posted a photo of her daughter’s social security card (with the number hidden, of course) which showed her last name had been officially changed to Nicholson! When asked about how hard theadoption process was, Lindsey said it was difficult — more so in her situation because Aniyah is a registered Native American:
Linsey expressed her gratitude and love for her husband TJ on his first Father’s Day after the adoption:
Becoming a dad might be something TJ will be doing again soon! “I don’t think my baby fever has ever been so high,” Lindsey tweeted back in April. “[I] can’t wait to have a little one, to see my husband hold our baby for the first time Right after that she tweeted: “When your biggest worry in life is deciding which month to get pregnant in.. #lifeisgood”
Congratulations to Lindsey, her husband, her daughter, and her “two girls!” They all seem to be doing fantastic!

TOP 10 RED CARPET DRESSES OF 2016

The most remembered red carpet dresses of 2016
The new-year is coming so we thought it is time to look back and have a glance at some of the top red carpet dresses of 2012. Whether it is revealing gowns with plunging necklines, body conscious silhouette, or leg-baring thigh-high slits, the designs have always been about adding spice to fashion. This is substantiated by the trendiest clothes worn on some of the top red carpet events of this year, as listed down below:
Angelina Jolie’s Atelier Versace dress

This was the dress that defined the year. Angelina Jolie’s black Versace with its thigh-high slit was the most talked about dress on the red carpet and stole the show at the Oscars in February. She struck a saucy pose with her exposed leg extended, inspiring Twitter trends, photobombs and a whole sub-set of celebrities “doing an Angelina” on the red carpet in the months that followed.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s Tom Ford frock

Angelina and Gwyneth were the Oscar red carpet’s yin and yang. Gwyneth’s pristine Tom Ford dress complete with cape, reportedly inspired by Jackie Kennedy’s 1961 inaugural ball gown, jostled for top fashion honours with Angelina’s black dress.
Beyonce’s Givenchy Couture see-through dress

Daughter Blue Ivy was born in January and in May, Beyonce made a jaw-dropping red carpet return in this sensational black lace and feathered Givenchy gown at the Met Gala 2012. Flashbulbs popped, headlines were written and Beyonce went down in fashion history.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Elie Saab dress

Ash’s grey Elie Saab wouldn’t have made a this list if it hadn’t been for the fact that the new mother was very distinctly plus-size when she wore it on the Cannes red carpet in May. Ash wore the clingy dress with a big smile and a carefree wave of her hand, thumbing her nose at the critics who complained about her failure to lose her baby weight. Unmindful of the extra kilos revealed by the unforgiving dress, Ash’s message was clear – she wasn’t going to be thin for anyone else. We give her full marks for sheer attitude.
Maria Menounos’ Maria Lucia Hohan dress

Maria Menounos, American actress and journalist donned aa amazing mint green at Oscar 2012. She added heavy earrings and looked outstanding on red carpet.
Sofia Vergara’s Vera Wang mermaid dress

Her habit of picking eye-catching dresses included this midnight blue strapless Vera Wang she wore to the Golden Globe Awards 2012 held in January. The dress, and the Harry Winston jewellery she wore it with, placed Sofia firmly on the top of all best dressed lists.
Demi Lovato’s Marchesa dress

Demi wore a beautiful strapless form-fitting gown with golden embroidery at the bodice from Marchesa’s Resort 2012 collection to the People’s Choice Awards 2012 ceremony. The dress was beautiful and framed her new curves well, but I just wish it had been a little less snug in the bust. This is probably the only picture I could find where she wasn’t ‘busting out’ a little bit on the sides.
Charlize Theron’s Dior dress

Charlize Theron made sure all eyes were on her as she appeared on the red carpet of the 2012 Golden Globe Awards in a light rosy Dior Couture gown with a long train.
Taylor Swift’s Elie Saab dress

Taylor Swift wowed the paparazzi at the ARIA Awards in Sydney wearing an impeccably elegant, Grecian-inspired flowing cream Elie Saab gown. Taylor teamed the stylish gown with a retro-style, twisted hairstyle, while counterbalancing the dress’s cream color with a slick of bold red lipstick and dramatic blue eye make-up as she settled into her new metropolitan surroundings.
Jennifer Lopez’s Zuhair Murad dress

The actress-slash-pop star wore an eye-catching Zuhair Murad gown with a very low-cut neck and cutout shoulders. Yeah, she had some nip slip, but don’t you agree that she looked just fabulous! But I really wish she’d switch up her signature hairdo from that huge bun…

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Are Getting Married, Reports Say

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Are Getting Married, Reports Claim
The Voice brought them together, and now it seems they intend to stay that way.
Recording artists Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are getting married, according to a new report from TMZ published early Friday morning.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Are Getting Married, Reports Say
While the couple was attempting to keep the union on the down-low, the site claims they've hired celeb wedding designer Jerri Woolworth to organize the blessed affair:
"Sources familiar with the situation tell us Blake and Gwen have hired famed celebrity wedding designer, Jerri Woolworth, who has offices in Tennessee and New York. Woolworth has planned events ranging in size from 15 to 15,000 people. She's planned events for the CMAs, the NFL and the NHL."
Neither Woolworth, Shelton, nor Stefani have confirmed the good news, so we're hesitant to say this wedding is happening without a shadow of a doubt.
But it would Sure Be Cool If You Did, guys.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Are Getting Married, Reports Say
The couple's romance went public back in November, and if TMZ's report holds true, they've become engaged about four months after the finalization of Stefani's divorce from Gavin Rossdale.
Shelton, who married fellow country singer Miranda Lambert in 2011, finalized his own divorce in 2015.
Don't Get It Twisted: This looks like The Real Thing.
